We’ll learn about your content goals, budget range, and project timelines. This first step is a good opportunity for Swan Dive Media to get a sense of your organization’s high-level digital marketing goals and establish a plan that makes our first steps fit the bigger picture.

Once we fully understand what your team aims to accomplish, Swan Dive Media will present a proposal that outlines a production work scope that fits your budget and turnaround timeline. During the project proposal development, it is important to establish clear ideas on what the client requires the content to accomplish and the variables that contribute to production time and film qualities.

The pre-production work is the most important step in bringing a successful film project to life. The pre-pro establishes the road map for the entire filming process, ensuring that every step is calculated to maximize time efficiency, develops the right narrative for the client’s goals, and captures beautiful, relevant imagery to illustrate the story—our shot list. This step also includes establishing the necessary team, the equipment required to do the work, location scouting and permitting, scriptwriting, casting, prepping interview subjects, and locking in all the other components to ensure a smooth production process.

Film production kickoff—this is where the rubber meets the road. The team will arrive on set and we will begin shooting our first scenes and the b-roll (the key shots from the shoot) as defined in our shot list. All of the preparation that went into our pre-pro will guide every stage of our shoot days. Our team provides direction on set and interview coaching to assist our subjects in their on-camera communications.

After our team has completed the film production, Swan Dive Media will upload all content to our Network Attached Server system before organizing the project and beginning the refinement process. This includes creating project files, editing down interviews, choosing select quotes, and transcribing the story into editorial documents for the client to review. Simultaneously, the b-roll will be edited down into selects and categorized. Depending on which service package has been selected, the client will begin the draft revisions stage of the post-production. Service packages can range from just a single revision or up to four revisions, depending on the client’s specifications.

The finalized video files will be delivered to the client for sign-off.
